Who am I?
I don't generally like to label myself, but if I was asked I would have to
describe myself as a "Solitary Eclectic Witch"
Solitary as
I prefer to work on my own rather than as part of a coven.
Eclectic as I prefer to gain my knowledge from a
wide and varied range of sources.
I don't think I need to explain the "Witch" part!!
To keep myself out of mischief, I make and sell a variety of different Wiccan crafts, such as matching Tarot and Wand
bags in a variety of colours, Altar Cloths, Personalised and Non-Personalised Sabbat Greetings Cards and Candles for
all Occasions, both Wiccan and non Wiccan.
I will endeavour to add a page of my homemade crafts to my site, but I
have to work out the digital camera first!! until then, if you are interested in purchasing any of the

What is Wicca?
Wicca is fast becoming one of the largest growing
religions in the world. It is a nature/pagan based religion.
One of the many "beauties" of
Wicca, and this is what I think makes Wicca different from any other religion, is that there are no set "rules or regulations"
(apart from the Wiccan Rede) to tell you how to pray,
or how to run your life. No-one telling you what you should or should not believe in, both spiritually
and morally. You are able to talk directly to your Lady and/or Lord without anyone "in between" ie.
a Priest, Vicar, Pastor etc.
I think of Wicca as a sort of "Spiritual Tree", there are SO many branches for you
to learn about and experience. Just when you think you have covered all the branches, new ones appear to open up
another whole new Spiritual Sensation.
Don't worry if you are feeling a bit confused or if you are finding it difficult to grasp all
the information straight away, it will come to you in time.
Remember, the more you practise, the easier it will become.
So you cannot name "the Greek Goddess of the Moon" at the
click of your fingers yet? There are many, many Wiccans and Witches out there with many years of experience who are
STILL learning,
this is yet another beauty of Wicca.
(By the way, the Greek Goddess of the Moon, is Selene,
just in case you wanted to know!)

Witchcraft or Wicca?
This question often confuses people as not all Witches are Wiccan and not all Wiccan's
are Witches!
After lots of research, I have come up with the following "short" explanation to try and help you
differentiate between the
two:
Witchcraft is based on ancient traditions, whereas
Wicca is not. Wicca was founded by Gerald Gardener in the late 1930's.

How do I become a Witch or Wiccan?
It is so easy to call yourself a Witch or Wiccan, just because you dress in black and
surround yourself with pentagrams! but there is much more to Wicca and Witchcraft than a
mythological fashion statement! As all REAL Wiccans or Witches will tell you, they hold their spiritual
path and beliefs close to their heart, regardless of what they wear. (No offence meant to real Witches
or Wiccans who dress in black and surround themselves with pentagrams!!!)
There are no quick and easy solutions
to becoming either a
Witch or Wiccan, it certainly will not happen over night. I would suggest that you research
(there are many good books readily available, internet etc.) thoroughly before making your decision
as a spiritual path is not something to enter into lightly. Try talking to other Wiccans and/or Witches
about their experiences following their paths. Eventually, and only YOU will know when the time is
right, you will reach your decision. If you decide that Wicca or Witchcraft IS for you, then the next
step would be dedication.
However, if you feel that Wicca and/or Witchcraft is NOT for you,
at least you will have broadened your mind and realised that the "myths" of Witchcraft (some of which
are listed below) are not actually true after all!

What We ARE NOT
We DO NOT have green faces, warts and/or bent noses.
(well, not all of us anyway!)
We DO NOT fly on broomsticks.
(the Dyson is much more comfortable!)
We DO NOT sacrifice virgins during the full moon.
(we are too busy surfing the net!)
We DO NOT worship "Satan" in any shape or form as Satan is a "Christian" fallen angel.
We DO NOT turn anyone into frogs.
(Although my ex-husband is has been a bit "croaky" lately! Ha Ha Ha!)
We DO NOT have good looking "white lighters" that orb when you mention their name.
(Don't you just LOVE Charmed!)
These are but a few "myths" which I hope I have cleared up for you. I'm off now, as the "Dyson" needs charging before
I fly to rescue a frog named Leo!

The Witches Alphabet
The Witches Alphabet is also known as Theban. It is a script used by Witches in the
1960's and 1970's and can be used to write spells, inscriptions and other texts. It serves to
disguise the meaning of a text and to give it a mystical quality.

ABC of Wicca
I cannot take credit for this, as I came across the ABC of Wicca during one of my many,
many hours of surfing!
This belongs to "Amethysts Wicca" who very kindly gave me permission to use it here, thank you.
A - Accept others as they are, we are all individuals.
B - Belief in yourself is a necessity.
C - Concentration is important in any endeavor, both magickal and in life.
D - Do what you will so long as it harms none.
E - Empathy is an important life skill....learn it, practice it.
F - Find strength in yourself, your friends, your world and your actions.
G - Goddess/God's are multi faceted - The Lord and Lady take many names and faces.
H - Help others every chance you get.
I - Intelligence is something that cannot be judged on the surface.
J - Judge not - what you send out comes back to you!
K - Karma loves to slap you in the face, watch out for it!
L - Learning is something that should never stop happening.
M - Magick is a wonderful gift, but it is not everything!
N - Nature is precious, appreciate it and protect it.
O - Over the course of time, your soul learns many lessons. Make this life count!!
P - Pray
Q - Quietness both physically and mentally restores the soul, meditate often.
R - Remember to take time for yourself as well as others.
S - Spells can help you, but you must also help yourself.
T - Tools can only do so much, they are not the foundation of all. You are the most important tool to use!!
U - Unless you enjoy worrying, keep a positive attitude.
V - Visualise the success of your goals before you set out to achieve them.
W - Wisdom can often be found in the least unexpected places
X - Xenophobia (a hatred of those different from you) is a path to misery.
Y - You are a beautiful person who is capable of anything!
Z - Zapping away all of your troubles is not going to happen.

The Threefold Law
The Threefold Law can also be known as "The Rule of Three" or "The Law of Return".
It
basically works on the same principle as "karma", that we face the consequences of our actions only this time in triplicate. This generally means
that as a Wiccan, if you perform a good deed, then something good will happen to you threefold, the same rule applies
if you do something bad!
There are many different versions of the Threefold Law, this is the most common:
"Ever Mind The Rule Of Three
Three Times Your Acts Return To Thee
This Lesson Well, Thou Must Learn
Thou Only Gets What Thee Dost Earn."

Self Dedication
When you have decided that Wicca is the spiritual path you wish to follow, your next
step is to Dedicate yourself. If you have joined or are thinking of joining a Coven, a Dedication Ritual would be
performed within your Coven. Self Dedication would only apply if you want to work as a Solitary Witch.
Your
Dedication is a Ritual/Ceremony performed to show your commitment to the Wiccan path. Many Wiccan books have Self
Dedication Rituals ready written, but I always think it better to write your own as this makes it much more personal.
This is the Self Dedication prayer I wrote for my own Dedication.
I call upon my Lord, Lady and Spirits
present, as I make my promise of commitment to you all.
I ask for your help in expanding my mind with knowledge
and wisdom in the ways and workings of the Craft.
I aim to learn and comply with Wiccan Ways and beliefs, to the
best of my ability.
I also ask for your blessings and guidance as I further my spiritual journey.
I give
thanks for the fulfillment I have and for the guidance and protection you have shown me since I began following the Wiccan
Path.
I thank you for these blessings and now dedicate myself to the Craft in the name of Crystalmoon.
